Authors are responsible for promptly reviewing and correcting proofs to ensure complete accuracy in the content’s publication in IJERD.

Enhancements for DOAJ and internal:

  • I am not familiar with the types of concerns, questions, timeline issues, and related which IJERD has received over the years related to Proof Correction.
    • The depth and details here appear superficial and may not meet our or authors’ needs
      • I suggest that IJERD develop a policy and procedures which provide the necessary detail to address this component

Proof of Correction Policy for IJERD

  • After acceptance and prior to publication, authors are provided with a galley proof of their manuscript.
  • The corresponding author is responsible for reviewing the galley proof carefully to identify any errors in text, figures, tables, or formatting.
  • Authors should return the corrected proof within a specified timeframe (usually a few days) to avoid delays in publication.
  • Corrections are limited to typographical errors, formatting issues, or minor factual inaccuracies; major revisions or additions are typically not accepted at this stage.
  • If authors miss the deadline for returning corrections without prior communication, publication may proceed with the existing proof, and further corrections can only be addressed through formal post-publication corrections or errata.
  • IJERD editorial staff may also make minor editorial changes for clarity or formatting without altering the scientific content.
  • After publication, any necessary corrections, clarifications, or retractions follow standard post-publication procedures to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the record.
