Authorship and Contributions

Authors must meet strict and established authorship criteria as detailed by international and IJERD publishing policies and best practice in order to publish in IJERD.

Authors must clearly state and appropriately acknowledge their individual contributions and roles for all content.

IJERD does not permit ghost, guest, or honorary authorship.

Changes to authorship after content submission must be justified and submitted in writing to the IJERD Editorial Board. The Editorial Board will review and consider the requested changes on a case-by-case basis.

The Editorial Board’s review and decision will be made on a timely basis with detailed communication and decision rationale provided to the authors in question. The Editorial Board’s review and decision is final.

Authorship Responsibilities and Contributions

  • All listed authors must agree to the submission and publication of the manuscript and accept responsibility for its content, including the accuracy of citations and acknowledgments.
  • The corresponding author is responsible for communicating with the journal on behalf of all co-authors and must confirm the agreement and authority from each.
  • Submission of a manuscript guarantees that authors have the authority to publish the work and that it is original (not previously published or under consideration elsewhere).

Authorship Criteria

  • Significant contribution is expected from each author in the conception, design, execution, data acquisition, analysis, interpretation, or manuscript drafting and revision.
  • All authors should approve the final version before submission and agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work, ensuring questions regarding accuracy or integrity are appropriately addressed.

Order and Number of Authors

  • The order of authors should reflect the relative contribution each made to the research and manuscript preparation.
  • The journal recommends no more than eight contributors for single-institute studies and no more than five for case reports, images, or letters; exceeding this requires written justification.
  • Once submitted, the list and order of authors cannot be changed without the written consent of all contributors.

Acknowledgment and Documentation

  • Contributors who do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged separately with their consent.
  • Contributions by professional writers or editors should be disclosed and acknowledged.

Process and Dispute Resolution

  • IJERD may request a detailed description of each author’s contribution for verification.
  • Disputes regarding authorship or order are resolved according to the journal’s editorial policies and may require written statements from all involved.                                                     <=BACK
